The University of West Florida, Department of Anthropology invites
applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in
Anthropology starting August 2006. We are seeking an archaeologist to
teach a 3/3 load and regular summer field school. Successful applicants
must be dedicated to active field research and demonstrate a strong
commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Teaching at the introductory, advanced and graduate levels will be
required including archaeological method and theory, area courses, and
area of expertise. We are most interested in applicants who complement
existing departmental and Archaeology Institute strengths in terrestrial
and maritime Southeastern U.S. and Florida Gulf Coast archaeology.
Salary: $41,000 - $50,000. A Ph.D. is required. Full review of
applications will begin January 15, 2006, but applications will be
