Dating coffin viewport glass using thickness follows that for sheet or flat
glass in general (see Moir, Randall W. 1987, Socioeconomic and Chronometric
Patterning of Window Glass or Roenke, Karl G., 1978 Flat Glass; It's Use as
a Dating Tool for 19th Century Archaeologixcal Sites in the Pacific
Northwest and Elsewhere, and others).
I have copies of the Fisk and Crane catalogs from the 1850s and 1860s but
they offer no specific info about the glass they used.
