Subject: Chinese American historical archaeology web sites

Colleagues,
I am seeking web addresses (i.e., web sites) that deal with the topics of:
      historical archaeology and ______
              - the Overseas Chinese Experience/Chinese American History
              - Japanese American history

This information is being sought for the needs of three projects (described
further below). To date, I have collected the following 'public friendly'
web site examples. Have you any other web sites to suggest based on your
own research? Do you know of other web sites on these subjects to suggest
for this list?

*FYI, this list is being compiled for the following public archaeology
projects:

. The SHA Public Education and Information Committee (PEIC) requires this
information for its Unlocking the Past: Celebrating Historical Archaeology
in North America project. The first phase of this project is a book (soon
to be released http://www.sha.org/Publications/ufp.htm ). The second phase
-- now under development -- is a web-based companion which will also form
the foundation of the SHA's "public" historical archaeology pages. [For
more on this web project go to:
http://www.cr.nps.gov/seac/unlocking/unlocking.htm/]

. The SAA Public Education Committee (PEC) needs this information for their
forthcoming "Archaeology for the Public" web pages (for use under Teacher
Resources and Web Sites of Interest). [For an article on the development of
this web site please go to Page 8 at:
http://www.saa.org/publications/theSAAarchRec/nov03.pdf ]

. The SHA PEIC needs this information to respond to specific teacher
requests for assistance (generated during an outreach effort at the
National Council for Social Studies conference). [For more information on
this go to http://www.sha.org/About/peic.htm]

Any web site information you can contribute for the needs of these three
projects will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Patrice L. Jeppson
