Actually the one I have ordered is called
TM 5-402 Erection Procedure: Building, Prefabricated, Ready Cut, Round Arch Rigid, 20 ft x 48 Ft
The British issued "Handbook of Nissen Huts 16'0" and 24' 0" span, Army Code 14867 which I found in a plan press in a very dusty plan room on RAAF Base Wagga.
Each Quonset and Nissen were issued as a set of timbers, nuts & bolts, metal ribs ...etc as well as with a set of instructions for assembly (rather like a piece of computing equipment). These instructions seem to have simply disappeared.
Does anyone know where one might purchase ex-US Technical Manuals? I know that there was a Military modeller who collected them and actually got one for "Atomic Anne" by accident. I have tried eBay without much luck.
yours
Iain Stuart
