All archaeologists and historians working in San Diego are obligated to file
copies of their reports to the South Coast Information Center. This includes
formal site records. The field notes, photographs, and original maps can be
donated to the San Diego Historical Society, which archives the material for
research. In my opinion, no one should be dumping any records.
