of that volume.  There was also a special issue of the National Park Service
journal CRM devoted to utopian settlements about 2 years ago (I don't have the
volume # handy).

Hello all,

I'm searching for studies of nineteenth and early twentieth century utopian
pioneer settlements, either religious (eg. Mormon, Shaker, etc.) or secular
(socialist/ communist).  Sites in Australia are preferred, but sites in
America, Canada, New Zealand, or other countries with similar traditions may
also be helpful.  I'm interested specifically in archaeological studies rather
