Thanks to all for the mud information. I guess its to be expected that in
this election year I will be throwing mud.

Actually did some field work this year and have just finished sectionong what
looks to be a 1730 ish French powder magazine / big rectangular hole, without
floor etc that was filled with debris from another structure. Almost 6 feet
below ground surface.
