Actually, I think there needs to be more research on Smoke Pfiefer's
experiment. I propose we seek a grant for $1,000 and conduct the experiment at the SHA
meetings in York. The research plan should include $500 for pipe specimens to
be broken and $500 for Scotch to be consumed by the pipe-breakers and data
recorders. Bob Schuyler can announce the scientific results at the banquet.
