And while we aren't on the topic, has anyone heard Vagn Holmboe (yes, I am
obsessed with his music...)'s 2nd viola concerto, written for and premiered
by Rivka Golani, as I recall? (Not to be confused with the first concerto,
available on the Da Capo CD of "chamber" concerti, volume 2 I believe.) (I
know some people have- I mean has anyone .here.  heard it? I for one very
much hope to, and am not very hopeful of its being CD'd in the next 5 years
or so.  It .might.  ...)

Golani's performance on the now apparently defunct label Conifer of
Rubbra's viola concerto is wonderful.  So's the piece.  The label, of
course, is dead, though copies may still be available from some online
outlets - I certainly hope so.
