Looking pensively at me from the cover of the April Gramophone is none
other than the man himself, subject of a feature article prompted by the
release of A Streetcar Named Desire.  Might provide some more fuel for the
current debate.

The magazine also contains the startling news that Mercury has released
"...a stereo Scheherezade (with Rimsky-Korsakov conducting)..." made in
1958.  I've always been in awe of Mercury's recording techniques but I had
no idea they were this good!
