The Jarvi also gets you the other two symphonies, as well as Russian
Easter and Capriccio Espagnol.  I like it better than the Maazel.

Just yesterday, I was reading the letters in a recent Fanfare and found
mention of www.rediscovery.us whence a reissue of Hermann Scherchen's
legendary Gliere 3rd can be had for $US15, including postage.  I was
further excited to find that Paul Paray's Antar has also been refurbished
and reissued.  I'd given up hope of either of these ever seeing CD status.
Both are mono but what performances!  The bad news for me is that because
of copyright considerations, Rediscovery only supplies within the US.
I'll find a way.
