Uruguayan American Pianist Polly Ferman to Perform with City Chamber
Orchestra of Hong Kong on January 13

Uruguayan-American pianist Polly Ferman will be in concert with the City
Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, presenting music of Astor Piazzolla on
Saturday, January 13 - 8:00 PM at the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium, 1Yuen
Wo Road in Hong, Kong, China.

Ms. Ferman will be joined by conductor German Gutierrez in a performance
of Piazzolla's Invierno and Verano Porteno for piano and strings.
Bandoneon master Daniel Binelli will perform the composer's Concerto
for Bandoneon and Chamber Orchestra and will also join Ms. Ferman
for performances of other Piazzolla masterworks.

One of the leading interpreters of the music of the Americas, Polly
Ferman continues to captivate audiences with her outstanding performances
of works by Gottschalk, Nazareth, Gershwin, Villa-Lobos, Ginastera and
Piazzolla.  Her mastery of the literature prompted The Japan Times to
recognize her as "a Musical Ambassador of the Americas." Ferman's extensive
tours as a soloist have included performances with the Symphonies of San
Francisco, Colorado, Vancouver, and Indianapolis, as well as the Tokyo
Philharmonic, Kharkov Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), Philippines
Philharmonic, Sao Paulo State Symphony and the National Symphony of
Argentina in addition to recitals in New York's Carnegie Hall, Tokyo's
Suntory and Takemitsu Halls, Virginia's Wolf Trapp, London's St. Martin
in the Fields, Koncert Halle of Munich, and the Buenos Aires Colon
Theatre.  Ferman was the only soloist selected to play at the Pan American
Games of 1992, where she performed Villa-Lobos with the Indianapolis
Symphony Orchestra.  She recently performed togreat acclaim in Cuba with
