What we need to do, just to add another two cents, is make people better
critical thinkers. That's what's really hard for school teachers when they have
50 minute class sections, over-crowded classrooms and now mandated federal
testing to deal with. I just finished four glorious years of coaching my
son's high school science olympiad team. Students usually stay on the team for
all 4 years of high school and get the opportunity to compete in the same
event every year. That way they can add to their learning and tinker to make
improvments on their projects. Now THAT'S real science :-) Janine
