Has anyone had the same problems of poor mating of queen?
Last year I was getting only about 20% success from hatched virgins to mated queens. I started cells when the first drones were seen (1st week of may).
The weather has been good here in Shropshire UK but still out of 24 virgins so far only one mated queen, some are building cells on test comb so presumably are queenless.

Any ideas?
