It's a shame you didn't get a chance to discuss this with the late Ned Heite
he lived for this kind of stuff and was very helpful to me on similar
projects in the past.  Are you looking for 19th or 20th century brick
pavers?  Are you working at a kiln/clamp site...large or small?  All of
these factors play a big part as to which direction you will want to follow.
There is really quite a bit of good information out there.  I just completed
a Phase II report on five industrial brickyards along the Hudson River in
Kingston, NY, but also worked on early 19th local one-time brick clamps in
the middle of a farmer's field.

I was wondering if anyone knew of some good sources that discuss the
history of brick pavers and their manufacture. Anything specific to
Indiana would be ideal, but right now I'm just looking for general
