Hello Mary, et al
Just read the reference to companies with the name Stewart and decided to
add a degression from the subject of firebricks. The Stewart company in
Prince Edward Island is actually Bruce Stewart & Company. (Bruce Stewart was
my great-uncle) He and his descendants operated a foundry and machine shop
located on the Charlottetown waterfront from the late 19th century until
sometime shortly after the Second World War. WHile they may have used
firebricks in their foundry set up, they would not have manufactured
firebricks.
I would like to see a picture of the brick.
Thanks,
Bruce
