With apologies for cross posting~

Fellow listers,

A student has acquired a metal pot she says was "purchased purchased at
a Turkish bazaar in the early 1900's and has what looks like Byzantine
etching on it." Her mother told her it had been "appraised years ago
somewhere in NYC and the pot/kettle itself was appx 400 yrs old, with
the base being redone sometime in the 1800s, and possibly of eastern
European origins."

If anyone would be willing to look at photographs of this pot and
perhaps comment on its culture of origin, I would appreciate your input.

Thanks much~

Jane
