POSITION  ANNOUNCEMENT--SENIOR ARCHAEOLOGIST 
Coastal Carolina Research, Inc., a cultural resources firm located in  
historic Tarboro, North  Carolina, is seeking a qualified individual for a  position 
as a Senior Archaeologist/Principal Investigator.  A Master’s degree in 
archaeology is  required with three years of supervisory experience preferred.  
Applicants must meet the Secretary of  the Interior’s professional qualifications 
and must possess excellent  organizational, research, and writing skills.  
The position involves directing field  investigations, supervising personnel, 
and conducting research, analysis, and  report preparation.  The ability to  
work well with other staff and to meet project deadlines is essential.  
Familiarity with Section 106 and other  cultural resource regulations is preferred.  
The position involves travel in the  Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.  
Applicants must be physically able to work in various types of terrain  from the 
mountains to the coast. 
This is a full-time, salaried position.   Competitive salary based on  
qualifications and experience.  Benefits include vacation, holidays, medical 
insurance, and retirement.
