Humpty Dumpty update...
It was a popular motif used on cookie jars and mugs. eBay has several for
sale. Mugs advertised come in rose, amber/brown, clear glass and have humpty on
one side and "Tom, Tom the Piper's Son" on the other. One eBay-er noted that
a mug was illustrated in Encyclopedia of Pressed Glass. We found "our" mug
on a circa late 1920s-early 1930s village dump. We also had a nursery rhyme
ceramic plate on site.
As always, thanks for all the input.
