Yes, I heard the Alsop interview this morning, too.  Glavin is right:
it was exhilarating.

I was grateful a couple of months ago for a 10-minute "Morning Edition"
segment on the Atlanta Symphony's new recording, "Rainbow Body," contrasting
the 2 new pieces on it (by Theofanidis and Higdon) with the works by
more established composers (Copland and Barber).

Actually, "Morning Edition" seems to be having more classical-music
segments lately, though my foggy memory can't cite any other particulars
at the moment.  Last week I e-mailed NPR and thanked them, just to let
them know their efforts were noticed and appreciated.
