Mark,
I think you hit the wrong button in your address book. My middle name was
almost George, but not quite. Even so, I don't think this would have been
meant for me!

Hi George,
Hoped to see you in St. Louis, but I didn't get in until Friday night.
Wasn't sure if you showed up or not ...
Just a note to let you know that after a ridiculously long period of time,
the Pilling memorial volume of the MA is back on track. Currently, I have
on-hand or commitments for a series of five articles ... The Demeter article
may
change:
1) Gordon L. Grosscup (Wayne State University). Goodyear Patent 1851: Hard
Rubber Buttons and Other Artifacts.
2) Kent C. Taylor (CCRG, Inc.). "Shinplasters" and Patriotic Tokens: The
Scarcity of Coinage on 19th Century Michigan Sites.
3) Mark C. Branstner et al. (GLR, Inc.). The William Macomb/Lewis Cass
Farm: A Late Eighteenth/Early Nineteenth Century Farmstead in Detroit.
4) George L. Miller (URS Group, Inc.). Potters' Dozens and Evolving Vessel
Sizes.
5) Steve Demeter (CCRG, Inc.). Huron Place Names.
Hopefully, your ms. is still available for publication in the MA. If it is
not, please let me know. If there is something that you would like to
substitute, amend, update, or whatever, please let me know. We are looking
to put
together everything by late spring/early summer ...
Again, my apologies ...
