Not to be cantankerous (he said, about to be cantankerous), but I definitely
don't see the science center's mission as having anything whatsoever to do
with "finding common ground or reconciliation with faith-based ways of
knowing".

Let's see, science is based on what can be concluded and inferred based on
evidence. "Faith-based ways of knowing" are about believing stuff despite
having absolutely no evidence (and often despite contrary evidence).
Whatever your institution's mission statement may be, I'm willing to bet it
has something to do with promoting science. Trying to reconcile that with
"faith based ways of knowing" is akin to the Republican party's platform
having a plank about helping Democrats win elective office.

Rita/Beryl
See Len Adams' posting.
I objected to the characterization of "good" (and by implication, "bad").
I certainly agree that dialogue on ways museums and science centers can find
common ground or reconciliation between faith-based ways of knowing and
science-based ways of knowing is most appropriate to this forum.
John
