its also a good idea to search the archives.  know this question has come up
before.

fyi:  we had a environmental hygienist come in about 8 years ago when we did
a giant sand box - rumor was we had to worry about cooties and other
things - turns out not much lives off its host for very long, so we went
ahead with it.  in the 3 +years i was still involved, never had a problem or
complaint.
