Science Workforce-Science Education Conference Announced
Leadership Initiative in Science Education 4
Partners in Innovation: Science Education and The Science Workforce
You are invited to attend the fourth annual Leadership Initiative in
Science Education Conference (LISE 4), May 20-21, 2004, sponsored by the
Chemical Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA
19106, and the Dow Chemical Company. This year's conference focuses on
the role of science education in preparing the nation's science
workforce. The conference will be of interest to science and technology
professionals.
Among eleven featured presenters will be Sara Schechner, David P.
Wheatland Curator, Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments at
Harvard University; Gerry Wheeler, Executive Director of the National
Science Teachers Association; and Joseph Bordogna, Deputy Director of
the National Science Foundation. The conference will also include a
case study on biomonitoring.
The conference is free. It will be held at The Chemical Heritage
Foundation in Philadelphia. You must provide your own transportation
