I am surprised that no one has mentioned Preisner so far (or I may have
missed it) of Kieslowski's trilogy: Bleu, Blanc, Rouge... Apparently,
with the exception of Requiem for My Friend, he composed only for stage
and films. I have the Requiem, it is OK but not gripping, unfortunately
I have not heard any of his other works (besides those for the said
trilogy).
Another name that has been conspicous by her absence is Ellen Karaindrou-
TheoAngelopoulos's composer. Though I hate his movies, I am an addict
of her music.
