My wife is Japanese and it is a custom to bring a gift to anyone that you
may visit. Every summer she will return to her parents home in Tochigi,
often with 15 to 20 pounds of honey in an assortment of our glass and
plastic ranging from 8 ounces to two pounds as gifts to all that she may
visit. There never has been a problem either here or in Japan; all our
honey is labeled to FDA standards. Presentation of a special gift shortly
after or right upon arrival of a visit is a matter of custom in Japan;
have a great trip.
