Scitech runs a program called DIY Science Kits as part of its Kids
Science State program (http://kids-science-state.scitech.org.au/).

These kits contain enough materials in a box for a whole class and
teacher resources including conceptual understandings and lesson plans.
They are hired out very cheaply and are used in areas where our Roadshow
Bus can't get to often enough. I think they are booked non-stop for 6
months in advance!
