How about a sheet polyethylene floor (over the carpet) with a 3/8" x
3/8" curb around the perimeter. This acts as a moat and will hold a
lot of water. A Dri-dek (http://www.dri-dek.com) floor goes on top of
that and the 3/8" curb falls between the peg feet of the Dri-dek. The
Dri-dek will have to be folded back every once in a while to clean the
polyethylene.
