The new Children's Museum of Utah, a "children's museum you will never
outgrow", will serve a core audience of 400,000 children and families with
additional programming and behind-the-scenes involvement for youth and
adults. In preparation for its opening in late 2006, the Museum seeks an
experienced Exhibits Manager. Under the guidance of the Director of
Programs and Planning Development, manages the development, design,
fabrication, installation, maintenance and renewal of all of the Museum's
exhibit units and the exhibit platforms containing those units in order to
support both quality unfacilitated exhibit explorations and facilitated
program experiences at the future home of The Children's Museum of Utah.
Specific, professional knowledge of exhibition design, fabrication and
maintenance, with at least 3 years experience in hands-on exhibitions,
demonstrated ability to manage exhibit projects to plan and budget and to
implement effective, maintainable and cost-effective exhibition environments
and exhibit units required.
