ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

Please join David Taylor's friends and colleagues in a celebration of his
life:

When: June 20th (Summer Solstice) from 7:00pm to ~9:00pm

Where: Pacific Science Center's Ackerley Family Exhibit
Gallery, in front of the Insect Village, one of the last exhibits David
developed for the Science Center (please enter the Science Center via the
main entrance - to the north -- adjacent to Seattle Center grounds).

Where to RSVP: Do not just hit reply, but send your RSVP to
[log in to unmask] (206-443-3632) with names and number of people
attending.

What to wear: Casual attire - in honor of David's favorite
fashion statement, we encourage flip-flops/sandals, shorts and/or shirts
with bold patterns.

What to bring: Mementos you would like to place on a memory
wall during the evening - and take home afterward. There will also be a
guestbook for you to write comments. The guestbook will go to David's wife
(JoAnn McManus) after the service. If you cannot attend, please feel free
to send an e-mail message to Jennifer Walton ([log in to unmask]),
so that we can put it into the guestbook.

What is the program: A number of people representing
different eras of David's life will make short presentations, followed by a
participatory kazoo concert and a carrot cake buffet (David's favorite
dessert).

		Ways David will be commemorated:

o	David's web site of exhibit images will be
hosted by Pacific Science Center and updated by Alison Kartiganer, the
Center's present Director of Exhibits.

o	An Exhibit Operating Endowment in David's
name will be set up and a commemorative plaque will be located in a
prominent public location.

Ways to honor David: Come celebrate his life with family
and friends on June 20th. In lieu of flowers and other remembrances, David
asked that donations be made in his name to Pacific Science Center or United
Way.

We hope that you can make it to this celebration of David's
life.

		Dennis

PS -- Please forward this to others who should know about
the event.
