I assume Charles meant other variations of codes he finds on O-I
bottles...since some DO have variable ones. I dont think we can say that
there was no plant 19...or 5 (prior to 1960s)...just that Toulouse didnt
know of it. There is a current plant 19...so the company does use this
number.
As for date codes...often only single digits were used (to the right of the
OI mark)...especially for 1930s-40s dates...
Not everything in Toulouse is gospel....

page...so I'm not sure where they got this info.
