Hi All,

I am hoping someone can help me with a date for the introduction of hooks on
shoes. I've always called them speed laces. They are often used as the top
one or two hooks on hiking or work boots in place of eyelets. I have one
associated with leather from a c. 1850-1911 site. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Lee Cranmer
