As they should have. I used Benzaldehyde for many years. It worked fine in
warm sunny weather, and smelled like almonds...very similar to Bee Quick.
It didn't work at all in cold weather.
The biggest problem with it was crystallization on the fume board. After a
few weeks of use, little stalactites of Benzaldehyde crystals would form on
the pad. These would inevitably get broken off, and fall into the super of
honey. Not good.
