We have a blacksmith shop that was built ca. 1881. It is located in a small
town in central Missouri, it was part of a business district, not associated
with a specific farm/plantation/etc. The shop is a stone and frame,
two-story building. The building was in use as a blacksmith shop from 1881
until approximately 1917. The building is still standing, but we also need
to conduct archaeological testing in the adjacent yard for associated
features or buildings.

We are looking for references for excavated blacksmith shops.
