Iguess it makes it important to know how much store your colonies
need for the winter


Another point I made is Strain of bees used and quality of stores
>is the key to wintering successfully.

I use the carniolian type bee.  I think it is well adapted for our colder
climate.  I have used Italian type bees, but feel they need more stores
to winter compared to carniolian type bees.
I think surip provides the bees with a good quality of winter stores.
