About the only way to avoid beekeepers back is to stay a hobby beekeeper
with a couple hives, keep in shape, warm up with light exercise before
lifting and lift correctly.

The weight of boxes and supers are not above the lifting capabilities of an
in shape human.

Commercial beekeepers fingers are another subject which I believe has not
been discussed on BEE-L but all larger beekeepers know exactly what I am
talking about!

If a beekeeper which works bees year around holds his hands out flat they
seem to curl in the shape of a handhold. My doctor told me that the hand
muscles develop to to the strain of lifting created by the common poorly
designed langstroth half moon handholds.
