ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

This might be a fair amount of work but hey, its always good to propose the
luxury version of a device. The way to make a supersonic wind tunnel is to
have a large vacuum tank and a large pressure tank and then suddenly open
the (probably lexan windowed) passage between the two. It's got marketing
appeal (What happens at 1000MPH???) You can do impressive real science with
the visitors actively involved. Let them suggest what should be tested, as
well as having a standard set of experiments. It might be cool to have a
thermometer in the aerodynamic body, registering the temperature increase
from the air's friction, with tie-ins to space reentry and the like. Hot
Device!
