Hello Anne Stoll and all Histarch'ers

Anne, there's no such thing as a deionized water bath .. water dissolves CO2 too fast.

I was a QC manager .. we made ball bearings for nuclear reactors .. one quality test {checking
for the presence of iron .. i.e., contamination from the grinder wheels} was to put the cobalt
bearing races in distilled water .. while holding the Ph!

Doesn't happen .. soon's you pop the cork on a distilled water bottle .. there are LOTS of
little H's + CO'3s (from carbonic acid) running around.
