According to the recommendations of the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network
(www.foodallergy.org), most soy and other nut butters (almond, cashew, etc.)
are manufactured on equipment that also processes peanuts, so can still pose
a serious hazard to people with peanut allergies. For that reason, not to
mention cost, the Crisco route might be better.
Cheers,
Susan

Try soy bean "peanut" butter. Available in grocery
and health food stores.
