ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Dear Informal Education Community,
On July 1, 2005 NASA TV converted from an analog to digital signal.
The conversion was successful. With this change, NASA TV now has
four digital channels. They are NASA Public Service, NASA Education
Services, NASA Media Services, and NASA Mission Operations (Internal
Only). The switch to a digital signal occurred shortly before the
Deep Impact Mission and Return to Flight. A decision was made to
have the same programming broadcast simultaneously on every channel
during these two exciting missions. This provides NASA TV the
opportunity to further test its new digital system. After the
landing of STS-114 there will be a gradual transition to varying
content for each of the channels. Once the transition is complete, a
broadcast schedule will be posted on the NASA Portal.
