John Hunt's Stokowski Discography and Concert Register

As anyone who collects John Hunt's series of discographies will know,
he often compiles expanded volumes. As Dennis Davis remarks in his piece
on the Baumgarten bequest, we have had the idea of funding a new Stokowski
Discography and Concert Register to supersede the one issued in 1996.
This will take a while to produce but here is the most important part:
the Concert Register was known at the time to be incomplete, with many
details missing, particularly in the case of the All-American Youth
Orchestra tours. The New York City Symphony seasons were incomplete
too, as were many other details in the NBC Symphony and Hollywood Bowl
listings. Several European concerts failed to get into the Register,
as did assorted studio broadcasts and so on. So, for the new version,
it is essential that any member who spotted any errors and omissions in
the first edition should help out now by sending full details to John
Hunt for inclusion in the reprint. Please write with any amendments to
John Hunt Discographies, 6 Goodwin Court, Devonshire Road, London SW19
2ED, UK. (Fax in UK: 020-8540-1774; from outside UK: 0044-20-8540-1774).
It is John Hunt's practice to credit every contributor in the book. And
if there are any elusive recordings which failed to make it into the
first edition, details of these - and the myriad subsequent re-releases
- should be also be sent.

Sum ergo cogito. Stumpf
