I recently attended a Hartford Symphony concert and, for the first time,
heard New England Triptych by William Schuman.

Some autumnal hymnbooklike passages got me in touch with my inner Yankee,
but otherwise I'm not sure what Schuman thought was especially New
Englandy about the insistent tympanis. Still, the Triptych made an
impression on me and I'd like to hear it again. Would anybody on this
list like to recommend a recording or two?

Eddie
