Matter of taste, of course, but Pablo Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen strikes me
as pretty heady stuff.  Sophie Mutter made an impressive recording that
I've heard but don't possess.  I'm content with the one I do have, Itzak
Perlman's (with the Abbey Road Ensemble) on EMI, though it's only partially
Sarasate and coupled with works of other composers (all of them making like
Gypsies, though).

There's also Peggy Lee singin' Gloomy Sunday--if you can find it.
