Actually Ron, I've gotten several offers for D and O (directors and
officers) coverage. That's the easiest thing to get, as directors and
officers of a non-profit are treated the same as those of a for-profit corp.
when it comes to corporate decision making and the liability stemming there
from. The difficult part is the general liability piece for obvious
reasons, not the least of which is the inexperienced volunteer involvement
so critical to any public archaeology project. Thanks to Lyle Browning I
have almost certainly found coverage through Tabb, Brockenbrough and Ragland
(TBR) of Richmond, VA. Much appreciated. And, many thanks to all of you
who responded to my inquiry.
