The American Chamber Ensemble Presents "Pan-American Vision" Concert On
December 5 At Nassau County Museum of Art - Concert Features Music by
Villa-Lobos, Ginastera, Piazzolla, Surinach, D'Rivera & Boatwright

The American Chamber Ensemble's "Pan-American Vision" concert will take
place on Sunday, December 5, 2004, at 4 p.m. when the Nassau County
Museum of Art presents ACE at the Museum, just off of Northern Boulevard
in Roslyn Harbor, New York.  This concert, which continues the celebration
of the Ensemble's 40th Anniversary season, is presented in conjunction
with an exhibition titled Fernando Botero: Works on Paper, information
about which can be found at http://www.nassaumuseum.com.

Repertoire for this concert will be Heitor Villa-Lobos' Fantasie Concertante
for clarinet, cello and piano, his Milonga Canciones, Opus 3 for piano,
Alberto Ginastera's Pampeana No. 1 for violin and piano, Astor Piazzolla's
Milonga del Angel for clarinet, cello and piano, Paquito D'Rivera's
Danzon for clarinet, cello and piano, Carlos Surinach's Quartet for piano
and strings and American composer Howard Boatwright's Quartet for clarinet
and strings.

Performers for this concert will be the Directors of the American Chamber
Ensemble, pianist Blanche Abram and clarinetist Naomi Drucker, who will
be joined by pianist Marilyn Sherman Lehman, violinist Eriko Sato, violist
Lois Martin, and cellist Chris Finckel.

Museum of Art for $25 ($20 for NCMA members).  For reservations or ticket

The American Chamber Ensemble explores the great chamber music literature
for clarinet and piano in combination with strings, woodwinds and voice
and presents performances featuring world-class artists.  ACE consists
of the finest freelance musicians in the New York area and has been cited
by critics for their superb presentations of chamber masterworks.  Their
latest CD on Elysium - American Clarinet Treasures - features core members
of ACE performing works by George Kleinsinger, Virgil Thomson, Daniel
Gregory Mason, Elliott Carter, Douglas Moore and Gary Schocker, with
Guest Artist Stanley Drucker.  This will be joined in 2005 by their new
Elysium CD, The American Chamber Ensemble Plays Peter Schickele.

ACE concerts are assisted with public funds from the New York State
Council on the Arts, a state agency, and private contributions.
