Colleagues:
We all know that there are certain "red flags" that may signal a higher risk
for problems with breastfeeding/milk supply/etc. (eg. prior failed
breastfeeding attempt, reduction mamoplasty with reimplatation of the nipple, having a
premature infant, etc.).. I am looking for a published list of "risk factors" -
ideally, one that used antepartum, has been validated postpartum - but any
published list will be helpful.
I have a list that we developed for our LC charting, and I have seen several
discussions of possible risk factors (Neifert, Berens, Peds Clin NA, 2001),
but not an actual published risk screen. Can you help me?
