Last weekend at the meeting of our association the son of a now deceased
beekeeper was present to sell the beekeeping equipment his father had years
ago stashed in the garage. We could identify all but one box of plastic
plates the same size as a Langstroth deep with the ears to hang by. It is
about 1/4 inch thick. The bars had about the spacing of a queen excluder.
We have placed a photo of the item at
http://www.geocities.com/nibaweb/whatzit.html
There were many suggestions, but it is obviously a piece of beekeeping
history that never caught on. We are interested in any ideas about what it
might be. Any thoughts?
