Drawing frames in two story 5 frame nucs works well in UK, I have used it to
draw many reduced size mating nuc frames over the top of swarms, I got the
tip from a bystander at an apiary demonstration about 30 years ago. I made
some Bro. Adam type feeders that were half the standard width and had two
feeding stations (there was another separate reason for this).

I have no idea why this method is more effective than a full sized hive, but
both productivity and quality of drawn comb appear to be better.
