Honey clean up and what to do with it

OK .. This is not as scientific as some other discussions here but I had
a pail of honey crack in the melter and 60 lbs went on to the carpet ..
After several shampooing its still sticky .. Any "experienced" ideas?
Also I might as well feed the honey I scraped up back to the bees .. How
do you feed it back?
