Susan,
Following is from Godden, page 84. (Godden, Geoffrey A., Encyclopaedia of
British Pottery and Porcelain Marks, Barrie and Jenkins, London, 1964)
T. & R. Boote Ltd. Waterloo Pottery (and other addresses), Burslem.
Staffordshire Potteries. 1842- . "Earthenwares, Parian wares, Tiles, etc."
Distinguishing details of several printed or impressed marks of differing
design: name of the individual pattern is often included, 1842 onwards. The
Royal Arms were often included in Boote's Victorian marks.
(He also shows sketches of three marks that were printed between 1809-1906.

Subject: cup plate & Boote
Greetings,
I have another request for help from Histarch's ceramics experts:
To my delight, I have a cup plate (WHOLE)! Never positively got one here in
20 years. It is undecorated, thin earthenware, with very faint bluish color
in the impressed mark, which reads:
T. & R. BOOTE
WARRANTED
Unfortunately.
This seems to be T. & R. Boote's generic mark that none of my references
have a date for.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
S.D. Walter
